Girl Powered STEM Night at Severna Park Middle School was a huge success. We had over 250 students attend from 26 different schools. A special thanks to the 18 different organizations and businesses that participated and provided fun and interesting STEM related activities.

Studies show that 74% of teen girls are interested in STEM and STEM subjects, but in the STEM field, only about 25% of these positions are held by women. I am holding this STEM night to expose younger girls to various STEM related careers and fields in hope that it will spark an interest to pursue it in their educational endeavors.
